Antonio at Right Back.
So it seems Bilic has set his sights on another winger due to the fact he sees Antonio as a RB. I really hope I am wrong though. Antonio does an OK job in that position; however you lose his unpredictability, aerial threat, and his crossing ability as a RB. It's just not wise having so many attacking players on the field. The balance has to be right.

Fuck off to your south london shit hole home. What sort of 'supporter' comes on here calling one of our best players a cunt..

Get back to supporting Millwall you fucking toe rag.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
How much respect has Bilic lost with the players over this?

Enough to make the job of inspiring them difficult?

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Doesn't seem as hungry as he did when he first broke into the team.

His attitude yesterday (along with many others) stunk up the place more so than the array of stewards on a hot day!

Stroppy little cunt when he got put back into the right back slot.

unitedsound, didn't we win three, draw three and lose two, including a memorable win over man utd i our last every game at the boleyn, and draws with , champions leicester, arsenal and chelsea? not sure why people seem to think we had poor results with antonio at right back??

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
The only time Antonia started to make any runs at the Southampton back 4 was when he was full back.
New never stays on the wing, he moves infield and also never tracks back.
Look at the last years results when he was light back?

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Playing Antonio at RB was Bilic's first major error last season. The worry is that he's continued to repeat this obvious mistake, and has failed to learn from the experience and continues to play
too many players out of position.
I can't see that this can help with team morale so the sooner he start putting players in their natural positions the better.

Well if the Manager really wants the bullet, keep playing him there.

If he'd have done his fucking job properly we might not have been 2-0 down at the time, you fucking weird cunt.

Good to see Antonio restored to his rightful position yesterday when we were 2-0 down and needing to score.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
I was a little disappointed we didn't see him more on the right which is his best position (IMO).

Tore being left footed, I would have thought they'd interchange allot more than they did.

I seem to recall that article Also the story claiming he wanted a clause inserted into his contract that bumped up his pay if he got an England call-up. May as well have wanted a clause demanding a rise if he won the Pulitzer Prize, the silly cunt.

Haha that is a call, a more athletic Small, I see that

Read a good broadsheet review on him early after he got into the side - described his surges as that of a run away shopping trolley, apt I thought

I see a bit of Mike Small in Antonio. I saw a bit more tonight.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Antonio is a confidence player that needs to play with a degree of calmness - tonight was like his early games, all effort and wild endeavour

His header was unfortunate to hit a defender who knew nothing of it, several balls through were wasted by Valencia or the new Argie and his 'miss' was borne of over eagerness having ran the length of the pitch to even be there

Still the most potent wide man we have

Couple of fantastic balls through the middle.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
So much better on the wing. Pretty much the only player on the pitch tonight having a go at his marker. Skinned a couple, and played a lovely ball through to Enner (who predictably cocked it up). Beast in the air too and nearly scored.

Tomshardware 9:01 Thu Aug 18
Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Take note Bilic, Antonio is also good in the air, don't ever play him at Right back again.
